Cougarand is one of the best-bred stallions in the industry.
He is sired by Peppy San Badger (nicknamed by many as Little
Peppy), one of the leading sires in the performance horse
industry, and out of Doc’s Yellow Rose, an own daughter
of the legendary Doc Bar.
He was hauled on a very limited basis and
has his NCHA Certificate of Ability. He was the 1996 NCHA
Area 9 $3,000 Novice Horse Champion, 1996 North Texas Cutting
Horse Association (NTCHA) $3,000 Novice Horse Champion and
the 1996 NTCHA High-Point Horse for the year.
He is the sire of performance horses in
several events, including reining, cutting and ranch horse
versatility competition. Some of his winners include:

• Cougarand Command – 1995 Congress Non-Pro
Reining
Futurity Champion and 1995 NRHA Non-Pro Futurity finalist,
with Gary Smith in the saddle.
• Doc Cougarand – NCHA Certificate of Ability
and AQHA Open and Amateur ROM.
• Cougaranda – 1994 World Champion Palomino
Reining Champion and 1994 Dixie Nationals Reining Champion.
• Blue Eyed Cougar – AQHA Cowboy Ranch Horse
Champion
Cougarand is a rare, but beautiful champagne
color, an iridescent golden color, which is recognized and
can be registered by the AQHA. A market for these beautiful
horses is growing, both in the USA and abroad. Champagne
is a dominant characteristic. (see attachment about Champagne
horses)
Cougarand is a beautiful headed, well-balanced,
good bone, square-standing horse. Even though he is 20 years
old, he is sound and without blemishes. He collects easy
and his semen ships good.
He is a bargain with a $1,000 stud fee
for 2007, which includes a $250 deposit. All vet expenses,
stall fees and semen shipping expenses are separate.
